In the year 2023, I experienced a significant and life-altering event when I broke my jaw in three distinct places, resulting in the complete shattering of my teeth. The aftermath of this injury was both physically and emotionally challenging; I found myself with my jaw wired shut, a situation that limited my ability to speak and eat as I once did. During this trying time, I became increasingly fascinated by the intricate images of my x-ray, which revealed the complex structure of my jaw and teeth. This fascination blossomed into a profound appreciation for the importance and function of my teeth, not just for their practical roles in chewing and speaking, but also as a form of personal expression. I began to see the beauty in adorning my teeth, recognizing them as not only essential tools for my daily life but also as a unique aspect of my identity that deserves care and celebration.
